MÉXICO
Mexico is not a place to see.
It is a place to enter.
To travel with Le Voyage Intime is to look beyond the surface and discover a Mexico that is beautiful, authentic, unexpected and deeply alive.
It is to experience the country through many different lenses: art and architecture, gastronomy and craftsmanship, nature and landscapes, history and contemporary life.
It is the Mexico of extraordinary museums and hidden courtyards, of great tables and humble markets, of ancient traditions and remarkable contemporary creators. A Mexico where beauty can be found everywhere, from a centuries-old hacienda to a ceramic workshop, from a quiet garden to a table set for lunch.
The Art of
Becoming a Local.
Not simply visiting a place, but learning how it feels to live there.
Knowing where to go in the morning. Where to have lunch. Which market is worth getting up early for. Which house, gallery, garden or workshop deserves to be discovered. Which landscape should be experienced slowly. Which people have stories worth listening to.
This is a Mexico that cannot be reduced to a list of places.
It is intimate, cultivated, sensual and profoundly human.
To experience with all the senses.
And, for a little while, to call your own.

There is no single Mexico.
The journey is shaped not only by where you go, but by what you are curious about, who you meet and what begins to unfold along the way.
Mexico City. A house by Luis Barragán, a gallery, a neighbourhood market, a long lunch. Mexico City rewards curiosity and constantly shifts between architecture, contemporary art, food and everyday life.
San Miguel de Allende. Warm stone, painted doors, courtyards filled with light and houses that reveal themselves slowly. Art has always been part of its character, from contemporary galleries to the beautiful interiors found behind its old façades.
Guanajuato. A city built into the hills, where streets climb, disappear and open unexpectedly onto small plazas. Music, art and university life give its historic architecture a sense of movement.
Querétaro. An understated elegance of stone buildings, courtyards and churches, with haciendas and vineyards extending beyond the historic centre. A region made for taking your time.
Morelia. Pink stone architecture gives the city a particular softness. Arcades, elegant buildings and quiet corners lead naturally towards Michoacán's rich culinary traditions.
Oaxaca. Food, craft and daily life are inseparable here. Textiles, pottery, markets and kitchens tell connected stories, while the surrounding valleys open onto villages, mezcal country and ancient traditions.
Puebla. Tiles, carved stone, old courtyards and baroque interiors appear throughout the historic centre. Its cuisine carries the same sense of history, with recipes and techniques passed through generations.
Yucatán. Limestone, tropical gardens, old haciendas and cenotes shape the landscape. Mérida brings together elegant architecture, contemporary culture and a food tradition with deep Mayan roots.
Campeche. Colourful façades, quiet streets and the Gulf create a particularly intimate atmosphere. Here, a day can unfold around a walk, a seafood lunch and the changing light along the waterfront.
Baja California. Desert, vineyards, olive trees and the Pacific come together around the Valle de Guadalupe, where food, wine, architecture and design have created one of Mexico's most distinctive contemporary cultures.
Baja California Sur. The desert reaches the Sea of Cortez. Fishing towns, quiet coves and long stretches of coastline create a more elemental Mexico, where the landscape takes centre stage.
Jalisco. Tradition and contemporary life meet through architecture, craftsmanship, landscapes and a strong culinary identity.
Quintana Roo. Caribbean light, tropical landscapes and the extraordinary natural world of the Yucatán Peninsula create another rhythm of Mexico.
Oaxaca · Beyond the City. Valleys, villages, craft traditions and landscapes extend the experience beyond Oaxaca itself, revealing a region meant to be explored slowly.
Chiapas. San Cristóbal de las Casas sits high in the mountains, surrounded by communities with distinct traditions and extraordinary textile work. Further south, Parque Nacional El Triunfo offers another side of the region, remote, forested and intensely natural.
The Way
We Travel
We do not begin with a list of places to see.
We begin with a conversation.
What draws you to Mexico? Art, food, architecture, nature, history, textiles, contemporary life? Perhaps simply the desire to spend time somewhere beautiful and unfamiliar.
From there, we create a journey around you.
Some days may be carefully planned, with a private visit, a particular house to discover or a table worth travelling for. Other days are deliberately left open. Time for a market, a long lunch, a walk through a neighbourhood, an unexpected invitation.
We look for the places that have character and the people who give them meaning. A gallery whose owner has a story to tell. A family kitchen. A craftsman working with an ancient technique. A house rarely seen from the outside. A landscape best experienced slowly.
The result is not a collection of experiences.
It is a way of entering Mexico, with curiosity, attention and time.
A private journey, shaped around the way you want to live it.
Where you stay
is part of the journey.
We choose places for what they reveal about Mexico, not simply for their category or number of stars.
A restored hacienda surrounded by gardens. A small hotel in a historic house. A contemporary retreat in the desert. A private home filled with art and objects collected over time.
Some are grand. Others are intimate. What they share is a strong sense of place.
We look for architecture with a story, interiors with personality, gardens that invite you to linger and hosts who know how to make a stay feel natural.
Sometimes the right place is an established hotel. Sometimes it is somewhere almost unknown.
The choice is always deliberate.
Feeling that you belong there, even for a few days, is another.
A sense of place.

The Table
In Mexico, food is never just food.
It carries memory, geography, tradition and imagination. A recipe can belong to a family, a village, a region, or to generations of women who have passed it from one kitchen to the next.
We follow that thread.
From the markets of Mexico City to the kitchens of Oaxaca, from a long lunch in the countryside to a table created by one of Mexico's most inventive chefs, we look for food that tells you something about where you are.
Sometimes it is sophisticated. Sometimes it is wonderfully simple.
We may take you to a restaurant that deserves the journey, introduce you to a producer, visit a market with someone who knows it intimately, or sit down at a table where the food is made for the people who are actually there.
We are interested in ingredients, traditions and the people behind them.
Art,
Architecture
& Beauty
Mexico is a country of extraordinary visual richness.
Beauty is everywhere, sometimes monumental, sometimes almost hidden. In the geometry of a modernist house, the worn stone of a colonial courtyard, the colours of a market, the patina of an old church, the simplicity of a handmade object.
Art is an essential part of the way we discover the country.
Mexico City alone offers an extraordinary world of museums, private collections, foundations, contemporary galleries and historic houses. From the great national museums to smaller spaces devoted to modern and contemporary art, there is always another artist, another collection, another building to discover.
We also look beyond the obvious.
A museum chosen for a particular exhibition. A gallery whose programme deserves attention. A private collection opened by invitation. The studio of an artist or designer. A house by a great Mexican architect. A historic building whose interiors reveal another chapter of the country's history.
Architecture is equally important to us.
Mexico brings together pre-Hispanic architecture, colonial cities, haciendas, convents and extraordinary examples of twentieth-century modernism, as well as a vibrant contemporary architectural scene. We seek out the buildings, interiors and landscapes that allow you to understand this extraordinary continuity.
And then there is craftsmanship.
Ceramics, textiles, wood, stone, silver, glass, furniture and objects made by hand are not simply souvenirs. They are part of Mexico's visual language and cultural memory. We like to meet the people who make them, visit the places where they are produced and understand the traditions behind them.
Our Mexico is therefore also a Mexico of beauty.
Of museums and galleries, artists and architects, collectors and designers, churches and private houses, gardens and courtyards, objects made slowly and places that have been carefully preserved.
We choose what to show you with the same care with which we choose everything else.
Not simply because it is famous.
Because it is beautiful, meaningful and worth seeing.
Nature
Mexico is also a country of extraordinary landscapes.
From the cloud forests of the mountains to the deserts of the north, from volcanic landscapes to the cenotes and tropical forests of Yucatán, nature changes dramatically from one region to another.
We like to experience these places slowly, with time to observe, walk, explore and simply be surrounded by them.
Some encounters are particularly rare.
In Chiapas, for example, we can arrange a private visit to Parque Nacional El Triunfo, one of Mexico's most important protected natural areas. Deep in the mountains, the forest is extraordinarily rich in wildlife and plant life. With the right local guide and carefully arranged access, the experience becomes something far more intimate than a conventional excursion: a private encounter with one of Mexico's most remarkable natural environments.
Elsewhere, the journey might lead through the mountains of Oaxaca, into the highlands of Chiapas, across the landscapes of Baja California or into the limestone world of Yucatán.
A walk at dawn. A day in the mountains. A swim in a cenote surrounded by forest. A visit to a private garden. A landscape discovered with someone who knows it intimately.
For us, nature is never simply a backdrop.
It is about finding the right place, at the right moment, with the right people around you.
The places where the world becomes quieter, where the rhythm of the journey changes, and where you stop looking at Mexico from the outside.
You begin to experience it from within.
This is the Le Voyage Intime way of travelling.
Private Journeys
There is no catalogue of Le Voyage Intime journeys.
Each one is created privately, around the people who are travelling, the way they like to live and what they genuinely want to discover.
This is not a standard luxury tour with a different hotel added to the itinerary.
It is a carefully considered journey, created from the beginning with access, privacy, beauty and personal attention in mind.
Some experiences are arranged privately. Some places are visited at moments chosen to avoid crowds. Some doors open because of long-standing relationships and personal introductions. The journey may include a private collection, an artist's studio, a special house, a table that is not easily found, or a place that simply does not belong on a conventional itinerary.
For those travelling alone, particularly women, this way of travelling offers something equally important: peace of mind.
The right hotels, trusted drivers, carefully selected guides, discreet local contacts and thoughtful planning allow you to explore independently while knowing that someone experienced is behind the journey and available when needed.
We believe exclusivity is not about being surrounded by extravagance.
It is about having access to what others cannot simply book.
It is about knowing that the right person is waiting for you, that the details have been considered, that your time is respected and that the experience has been created specifically for you.
Our journeys are intentionally limited and highly personalised.
They are not inexpensive trips.
Nor are they designed to be.
The value lies in the time, knowledge, relationships, access and attention behind every detail.
You are entrusting someone to create a journey that could not exist in quite the same way for anyone else.
What You Receive
It begins with listening, researching, making introductions and choosing carefully.
A Journey Created Around You
Nothing is taken from a standard programme. Your interests, rhythm, expectations and way of travelling shape the journey from the beginning.
Personal Curation
Every hotel, restaurant, museum, gallery, guide, driver, experience and destination is selected with a reason. We do not recommend places because they are fashionable. We choose them because they belong to the journey.
Private Access
Where possible, we arrange private visits, personal introductions, special access and experiences that cannot simply be booked online.
People We Trust
A journey is only as good as the people behind it. We work with carefully chosen drivers, guides, hosts, chefs, artisans, cultural specialists and local contacts who know their places intimately.
Discretion & Peace of Mind
From the first conversation to the final day, the journey is handled with discretion and attention. For solo travellers, including women travelling alone, trusted local contacts and thoughtful logistics provide an additional sense of confidence and ease.
Beautiful Places to Stay
We select hotels, haciendas, private houses and retreats for their architecture, atmosphere, history, service and sense of place, not simply for their category.
Time Well Spent
The itinerary is carefully paced. There is room for discovery, spontaneity and moments that cannot be scheduled.
Attention to Every Detail
Transfers, reservations, timings, special requests and the small details that make a journey effortless are considered before you arrive.
Our Knowledge, Your Journey
You benefit from our knowledge of Mexico, our relationships and our ability to connect the right people and places.
This is what you are investing in: not a package, but the knowledge, access, time and care required to create something truly personal.
The Le Voyage Intime
Difference
We believe the most memorable journeys are not necessarily the ones that take you the furthest.
They are the ones that allow you to see more deeply.
Le Voyage Intime is built around a particular way of looking at a place.
We bring together art, architecture, gastronomy, design, craftsmanship, nature, history and contemporary culture, then connect them through people and places we know and trust.
We do not try to show you everything.
We choose what is worth your time.
We do not follow trends simply because they are trends.
We look for character, beauty, authenticity and the people who give a place its soul.
And because every journey is private, there is no group to follow, no fixed programme to adapt to and no need to rush.
Your time remains yours.
This is the difference between travelling through a country and being given the opportunity to experience it intimately.
It is about experiencing better.
