France — Le Voyage Intime
LE VOYAGE INTIME

France

France is a country to be lived, not simply visited.

ART · CULTURE · TERROIR · SAVOIR-FAIRE
FRANCE

France is a country to be lived, not simply visited.

There is Paris, of course. A city of art, architecture, fashion, gastronomy and ideas, with a cultural life that seems to renew itself endlessly. Museums, galleries, exhibitions, theatres, opera, design, music, gardens and beautiful houses are part of its everyday rhythm.

Then there are the terroirs.

But France extends far beyond Paris.

It is a country of regions, each with its own landscape, traditions, architecture, cuisine and way of life. Provence and its villages, markets and Mediterranean light. The Atlantic coast and its great culinary traditions. Burgundy and Bordeaux, where wine is inseparable from the land. Normandy and Brittany, with their changing skies, gardens and coastal landscapes. The Loire and its châteaux. The southwest, the Alps, Corsica and so many places that reveal another France entirely.

Cheese, wine, olive oil, bread, seafood, fruit, vegetables, chocolate, charcuterie, regional pastries and countless products shaped by climate, soil and generations of knowledge. The pleasure is not simply in tasting them, but in discovering the people, places and traditions behind them.

We are interested in this France.

The grand and the intimate. The celebrated and the unexpected. The museum everyone should see and the small gallery someone has just opened. The great restaurant and the table in a village where lunch becomes the centre of the day. The historic château, the private house, the market, the garden, the vineyard, the atelier.

A France of culture, beauty, food, countryside, conversation and savoir-faire.

A France that is constantly changing, while remaining unmistakably itself.

This is the France we want to share with you.

Places to
Discover

Paris café life
01 · PARIS

Paris,
A World of Its Own

Paris is where we begin.

A city we know intimately, and one that never quite stops revealing itself. Beyond the monuments and the familiar addresses, there are neighbourhoods to wander, private houses, galleries, museums, gardens, ateliers, markets, restaurants and small places that belong to the rhythm of Parisian life.

We might spend a morning with art, an afternoon walking through a neighbourhood, and an evening around a beautiful table. We may look at architecture, discover a new exhibition, visit a collector, or simply leave the day open and see where the city takes us.

Paris is not a place to tick off a list.

It is a city to return to, to observe and to live for a while.

Provence, France
02 · PROVENCE

Provence

Provence is a world of light, stone, colour and extraordinary food.

We know the villages, the landscapes, the markets and the houses that give the region its particular character, but we are equally interested in the quieter Provence beyond the well-known routes.

There are artists and artisans, vineyards and olive groves, exceptional gardens, old stone houses, contemporary architecture, village tables and landscapes that invite you to slow down.

Here, the pleasures of the day are often beautifully simple: a market in the morning, lunch beneath the trees, a visit to an atelier, an afternoon in a garden, dinner as the light disappears.

The Southwest — French wine country
03 · SOUTHWEST

The
Southwest

The southwest offers another rhythm entirely.

From Bordeaux and the great wine estates to the Basque country, the Dordogne, Toulouse and the landscapes of Gascony, this is a France deeply connected to its land and its table.

We are drawn to the vineyards, historic houses, local markets, remarkable restaurants and small villages where traditions remain part of everyday life.

It is a region for long lunches, beautiful landscapes and discovering the richness of French terroir at its source.

Burgundy and the Wine Country
04 · BURGUNDY

Burgundy &
The Wine Country

In Burgundy, the landscape itself tells a story.

Vineyards, villages, historic estates and extraordinary tables are woven together by centuries of knowledge and tradition.

The experience is not simply about wine. It is about understanding the land, meeting those who work it, discovering the architecture and history of the region, and sitting down to eat with the people who know it best.

Chateau de Chambord Loire Valley France
05 · THE LOIRE

The Loire &
Its Hidden Worlds

The Loire is a landscape of rivers, forests, gardens, villages and remarkable houses.

Beyond the famous châteaux, there are private gardens, country estates, contemporary interpretations of historic architecture, vineyards and places that reveal a more intimate side of the region.

Here, history and the art of living continue to meet.

Etretat Normandy France
06 · NORMANDY & BRITTANY

Normandy &
Brittany

Further north, the light changes.

Normandy brings orchards, elegant country houses, gardens, coastal landscapes and a cuisine shaped by the sea and the countryside.

Brittany has its own character entirely, with dramatic coastlines, granite villages, extraordinary seafood and a strong cultural identity.

Both invite a slower kind of travel, with time for gardens, markets, long meals and the landscapes between places.

Mediterranean coastline of Corsica, France
07 · CORSICA

Corsica

Corsica feels like another world.

Mountains, forests, ancient villages and extraordinary coastlines create a landscape of remarkable intensity. Its cuisine, architecture, traditions and relationship with the Mediterranean give the island a character all its own.

We like to discover Corsica away from the obvious routes, through people who know the island intimately, exceptional houses, local tables and landscapes experienced at the right pace.

French mountain landscape
08 · THE FRENCH ALPS

The Alps

France is also a country of mountains.

The Alps offer dramatic landscapes, beautiful villages, historic hotels, contemporary retreats and a very different relationship with nature.

In summer, there are walks, gardens, lakes and mountain tables. In winter, there is another kind of beauty, quieter and more elemental.

French countryside and village
09 · AND ELSEWHERE

And
Elsewhere

There are many Frances.

The Champagne countryside. The vineyards of Alsace. The Atlantic coast. The Auvergne. The Cévennes. The Luberon. The Drôme. The Jura. The Pyrenees.

Some journeys begin with a place you have always wanted to know. Others begin with a particular house, a vineyard, a chef, an artist, a garden or simply a recommendation from someone whose taste we trust.

We are always looking for the France beyond the obvious.

Because the pleasure is not only in discovering where to go.

It is in discovering why a place matters.

LE VOYAGE INTIME

What Makes
Our Journeys
Different

A Le Voyage Intime journey is not built from a catalogue.

It begins with you, then develops through our knowledge of the places, our relationships with the people who bring them to life, and our ability to connect the two in a meaningful way.

01

PRIVATELY CREATED

There is no fixed itinerary waiting to be selected.

Every journey is created around your interests, your rhythm, your curiosity and the way you want to experience a place. Some travellers want art and architecture. Others are drawn to food, gardens, nature, craftsmanship, wine or simply the pleasure of living well somewhere beautiful.

Often, it is a combination of all of these.

02

ACCESS THAT FEELS NATURAL

Some of the most memorable moments of a journey cannot be booked from a website.

A private house. An artist's studio. A collection opened by invitation. A conversation with a craftsman. A vineyard visited with its owner. A table that is known by word of mouth rather than by publicity.

Our relationships allow us, where possible, to create these encounters in a way that feels personal rather than staged.

03

PEOPLE, NOT JUST PLACES

We believe that a destination becomes meaningful through the people who know it.

We work with guides, drivers, chefs, artists, artisans, historians, producers and hosts whose knowledge goes well beyond what can be found in a guidebook.

The right person can completely change the way you see a place.

04

TIME IS PART OF THE EXPERIENCE

We do not believe in filling every hour.

A beautifully designed journey needs space. Time for a long lunch. Time to stay longer in a museum. Time to wander through a village. Time to sit in a garden. Time for an unexpected discovery.

The itinerary gives the journey its shape, but it should never become its master.

05

BEAUTY WITH MEANING

We are naturally drawn to beautiful places, but beauty alone is not enough.

We look for architecture with a story, interiors with personality, landscapes with character, tables worth travelling for, objects made with care and experiences that reveal something about the culture around them.

What we choose has to mean something.

06

KNOWLEDGE YOU CAN FEEL

Much of what we bring to a journey remains invisible.

It is the research behind a recommendation, the timing of a visit, the person we know to call, the hotel that suits you better than the obvious choice, the restaurant that fits the evening, the route that makes sense, or the decision to leave a day completely open.

The journey feels effortless because the thinking has already been done.

07

PRIVATE THROUGHOUT

You travel privately, without having to adapt to a group or follow someone else's rhythm.

You have the freedom to change your mind, linger longer, explore spontaneously or simply do less.

And behind the journey, there is someone who knows what has been arranged, why it was chosen and how to make the experience flow.

This is what makes a Le Voyage Intime journey different.

Not more things.

Better choices.

Not more access for the sake of access.

The right access.

Not a busier itinerary.

A more considered one.

A journey that feels entirely your own, because it was created that way from the beginning.

French interior — Le Voyage Intime stay
FRANCE · PLACES TO STAY

Stay

Where you stay is part of the experience of France.

Sometimes it is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Paris. Sometimes a country house surrounded by gardens, a historic château, a Provençal bastide, a vineyard estate or a small hotel whose atmosphere feels inseparable from its surroundings.

We choose places for their character rather than their category.

Architecture matters. So do gardens, interiors, light, history, the quality of the welcome and the feeling of being somewhere that has a real identity.

In Paris, we may choose a discreet address in a neighbourhood we love, a historic hôtel particulier or a hotel whose architecture and atmosphere belong to the city.

In the countryside, the possibilities change completely. A house surrounded by fields. A former convent. A château with generations of history. A restored farmhouse. A contemporary retreat among vineyards or mountains.

We are also interested in places where the experience extends beyond the room.

A garden to walk through before breakfast. A kitchen where the chef works with local producers. A terrace overlooking the vines. A library in which to spend an afternoon. A host who knows the region and is happy to share a recommendation.

Sometimes the most beautiful place is not the most prestigious one.

It is the one that makes sense for the journey.

Because staying somewhere is not simply about having a beautiful room at the end of the day.

It is about waking up somewhere that could only be there.

French restaurant table
FRANCE · GASTRONOMY

The Table

France is a country that knows how to make a meal matter.

It begins long before you sit down.

The smell of bread still warm from the oven. Butter melting into a pan. Herbs crushed between your fingers. Peaches at the height of summer. Oysters opened by the sea. Cheese brought to the table at exactly the right moment. The first glass of wine poured while everyone is still talking.

Food in France is deeply connected to place.

The soil, the seasons, the climate, the traditions and the people who work the land all find their way onto the table.

We follow those connections.

A morning at a market, choosing what looks best that day. A visit to a producer who has been making the same cheese for generations. An olive oil pressed in the countryside. A vineyard where the wine tastes different because you have walked through the vines. A small village restaurant where lunch quietly becomes an afternoon.

And then, of course, the great tables.

We seek out chefs whose cooking has something to say, restaurants where the room, the service and the food belong together, and places that are worth travelling for.

But we are just as interested in the other kinds of tables.

Lunch in a family home. A kitchen in the countryside. A simple plate of vegetables picked that morning. A picnic prepared with extraordinary ingredients. A dinner in a garden as the light slowly disappears.

French bread
Cheese
Wine
Fresh herbs and French cuisine
Fine dining

Because some of the most beautiful meals are not necessarily the most elaborate.

They are the ones where everything tastes exactly as it should.

A tomato that tastes of summer. A piece of bread torn by hand. A peach so ripe that its juice runs down your fingers. A cheese with the scent of the pasture where it was made. A wine that suddenly makes sense because you have just seen the landscape from which it came.

This is the France we want you to taste.

Not simply its famous dishes, but its seasons, its terroirs, its generosity and its extraordinary pleasure in gathering around a table.

Take your time.
There is always another course.

FRANCE · CULTURE

Art,
Architecture
& Beauty

Art and museum culture in France

France has an extraordinary relationship with beauty.

It is found in museums and galleries, but also in the details of a house, the proportions of a room, the way a garden is composed, the patina of an old stone wall or the work of an artisan's hands.

Paris alone could fill a lifetime.

The great museums, of course, but also smaller collections, private foundations, contemporary galleries, photography, design, decorative arts, architecture and exhibitions that constantly change the cultural landscape.

We look beyond the obvious.

A museum chosen for a particular collection. A gallery because an artist deserves to be discovered. A private collection opened by invitation. An architect's work. An atelier where an object is still made by hand. A historic house whose interiors reveal another period of French life.

And then there is architecture.

France is a remarkable dialogue between centuries. Medieval towns, Renaissance houses, classical hôtels particuliers, country estates, châteaux, Provençal houses, modernist buildings and contemporary architecture all exist within the same country.

We are interested in how people have lived in these places, how they have been transformed and how they continue to inspire today's architects and designers.

Beauty also lives in the French savoir-faire.

Ceramics, textiles, glass, furniture, jewellery, leather, wood, stone and countless other crafts are part of a living tradition. We like to meet the people who keep these traditions alive, discover their workshops and understand the patience and knowledge behind what they create.

There are also the gardens.

Formal or wild, historic or contemporary, intimate or expansive, French gardens are themselves a form of art. Some belong to great estates. Others surround a private house or remain almost unknown.

For us, art and beauty are not separate from everyday life.

They are part of the way France is lived.

A painting seen in a quiet gallery.

A beautiful room.

A garden in the afternoon.

An old village church.

A chair designed decades ago and still made by hand.

A table set with objects chosen over generations.

A conversation with someone who has devoted their life to making something well.

These are the details that stay with you.

And this is why we travel through France with an attentive eye.

Not simply to see beautiful things.

To understand why they are beautiful.

Forest and natural landscape
FRANCE · THE LANDSCAPE

Gardens,
Landscapes
& Nature

France is a country of landscapes shaped by people as much as by nature.

A country lane between fields. A garden hidden behind an old stone wall. Vineyards running across a hillside. A forest in the early morning. Lavender in summer. Apple orchards in autumn. Mountains disappearing into mist.

These landscapes are not simply places we take you to see.

They become part of the journey.

When we create a private journey, we look for the landscapes that speak to you. Perhaps you are drawn to gardens and beautiful houses. Perhaps to vineyards, mountains, the sea or the quietness of the countryside. Perhaps you simply want a few days away from the rhythm of cities.

From there, we create the experience around the place.

A private garden opened especially for you. A walk through vineyards with someone who knows every parcel of land. A country house where lunch is prepared from what is growing nearby. A visit to a landscape designer. A morning with a producer during harvest. A beautiful route chosen not because it is famous, but because it is worth taking.

Sometimes the most memorable moments are entirely unplanned.

A village discovered on foot. A swim in a lake. A shaded terrace after a long walk. A market found along the way. A country road taken simply because the landscape looks beautiful.

We leave room for these moments.

The seasons are part of our thinking too.

Spring brings gardens into bloom and the countryside back to life. Summer opens terraces, markets, long lunches and evenings outdoors. Autumn brings vineyards, forests and harvests. Winter reveals a quieter France, from the mountains to the empty lanes of a country village.

We choose the timing, the places and the people with care, but we never want nature to feel programmed.

A landscape needs time.

Time to walk through it slowly.

Time to stop.

Time to notice the light changing across a field or the scent of the earth after rain.

Time to sit beneath a tree with nowhere else to be.

This is one of the privileges of travelling privately.

You do not have to follow a schedule designed for everyone else.

You can stay longer because the garden is beautiful.

Change the plan because you have discovered a village you want to explore.

Take the afternoon slowly.

Or simply do nothing at all.

For us, nature is not an excursion added to an itinerary.

It is part of the way the journey feels.

A place chosen for you.

A moment created around it.

And the freedom to experience it at your own pace.
