You leave São Paulo in the morning.
Brazil is an adventure.
The financial capital of Latin America. The “Atlantic Amazon” rainforest. The tropical waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
Brazil is a country of extraordinary energy, beauty and imagination. São Paulo can lead into an ancient Atlantic forest, mountains, islands and the sea.
Culture. Nature. Adventure.
And the freedom to experience them your way.
SÃO PAULO · CITY
ARCHITECTURE
ART · CULTURE

Not from the outside, but from within.

You leave São Paulo in the morning.

The city slowly gives way to another Brazil.

There is pleasure in not knowing exactly what comes next.
Art, architecture, galleries, design, fashion, food and the people who give the city its energy.
Boats, islands, hidden places, long days outdoors and beautiful places to disappear into afterwards.
Wild, beautiful and deeply alive.
We begin with
a conversation.
It is a country of extraordinary energy, beauty and imagination, where a great cultural capital can lead into an ancient Atlantic forest, mountains, islands and some of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil.
For those arriving from abroad, São Paulo is an extraordinary place to begin. It is the economic and financial capital of Latin America, but it is much more than a centre of business. It is one of the great cultural cities of the world.
Huge, cosmopolitan and intensely creative, São Paulo has a cultural life that can surprise even the most experienced traveller. Art, architecture, design, fashion, gastronomy and contemporary culture are woven into the fabric of the city.
And then, beyond the city, another Brazil begins. The Mata Atlântica, or Atlantic Forest, stretches along the Brazilian coast. There are beaches of extraordinary beauty, islands, waterfalls and hidden coves.
The forest is dense and alive, the air is warm, the Atlantic is intensely blue and the sense of adventure is never far away.
São Paulo is one of the great cities of the world. Immense, restless and endlessly creative, it is the economic and financial capital of Latin America, but its real richness lies elsewhere: in the extraordinary concentration of culture, ideas, people and talent that make the city so alive.
This is a city to explore rather than simply visit.
Its architecture tells the story of modern Brazil, from the great modernist buildings of Oscar Niemeyer and Lina Bo Bardi to contemporary houses, discreet residential streets and remarkable private interiors.
Its art scene is exceptional. Major museums stand alongside serious contemporary galleries, foundations, artist studios and private collections, many of which are known only to those who live here.
There is design everywhere. Furniture, objects, ceramics, photography, gardens, books, fashion. São Paulo has an extraordinary creative community, and some of Brazil's most interesting designers and makers work here.
São Paulo is also one of the great gastronomic cities of the Americas, shaped by generations of immigration and the deep contributions of African and Indigenous cultures.
For us, São Paulo is not a list of museums, restaurants and addresses. It is a city discovered through people: a collector opening a private home, a designer in her studio, an architect revealing a building, a table where lunch becomes an afternoon.
There is another Brazil beyond the city. The Mata Atlântica, or Atlantic Forest, is sometimes called the “Amazon of the Atlantic.” Ancient, extraordinarily rich in biodiversity and still largely hidden from view, it follows the Brazilian coast.
Here, forest and ocean meet. Green mountains rise directly from the sea. Islands appear beyond the coast. Waterfalls disappear into the forest. Small coves and beaches are sometimes accessible only by boat or on foot.
This is not a place for simply looking at nature. It is a place to explore.
A boat can take you to a deserted beach. A forest trail can lead to a waterfall. You can sail between islands, dive in clear water, windsurf, swim in hidden coves or spend a day moving along the coast with no particular destination.
And then there is another way of experiencing it: stay somewhere beautiful in the middle of nature, wake to the sounds of the forest, swim, read, eat exceptionally well and simply let time slow down.
Adventure and deep rest can exist here side by side.
For us, where you stay is never an afterthought. It is part of the journey, part of the atmosphere, and often part of what makes a place unforgettable.
At Le Voyage Intime, we look for places that have a strong sense of place. Houses hidden in the forest. Small pousadas by the sea. Contemporary retreats where architecture, landscape and light come together naturally.
A beautiful room is not enough. We look at the architecture, the materials, the gardens, the way a house sits within its landscape, the people who run it and the feeling it creates when you arrive.
Some places are wonderfully simple. Others are quietly sophisticated. We do not choose them because they have the most impressive address or the longest list of amenities. We choose them because they feel right.
We do not have a catalogue of hotels. We have places we believe in. Not according to a star rating, but according to the experience they will create.
In Brazil, eating well is part of the art of living. And you eat very, very well here.
Brazilian cuisine is as diverse as the country itself. Indigenous ingredients and traditions meet Portuguese, African, Italian, Japanese, Lebanese and many other influences, creating a culinary culture that is both deeply rooted and constantly evolving.
São Paulo is one of the great gastronomic capitals of the Americas, with an astonishing range of restaurants, markets, bakeries, neighbourhood kitchens and contemporary chefs.
But the real pleasure is discovering how many different Brazils can be found around the table.
We are not interested in collecting restaurant names. We want to know where the good food is. Who makes it. Who grows it. Who has been cooking it for generations. And where a meal becomes something more than a meal.
We believe the table is one of the most intimate ways of discovering a country.
The Mata Atlântica is one of those rare places where the adventure is still in the landscape itself. Mountains plunge towards the sea. Islands sit offshore. Waterfalls disappear into dense forest. Beaches have no road, no sign, sometimes not even a name.
You reach them by boat, by trail, sometimes by both. You sail into quiet bays, dive in clear water, swim off the rocks and follow paths that lead somewhere you did not expect.
Then comes the reward. A beautiful place hidden in the forest. A long lunch. A shower after the sea. Something cold to drink. The afternoon disappearing in a hammock while the jungle makes its own music around you.
A journey can be as adventurous as you want it to be, or wonderfully slow. It can move between the galleries and architecture of São Paulo and the islands and forests of the Atlantic coast, or stay entirely in one world.
There are no obligatory stops. Only places worth going to, people worth meeting, things worth doing and enough freedom to let the journey take its own shape.
A Brazil chosen with an insider's eye.
If São Paulo is your destination, we take you into the city we know: its art, architecture, galleries, design, fashion, food and the people who give it its energy. The experience is about seeing beyond the obvious and discovering the city through the places and encounters that matter.
If you come directly to the Mata Atlântica, the journey begins somewhere completely different. There is the forest, the mountains and the sea. Boats, islands, hidden beaches, waterfalls and long days outdoors.
You can come for the adventure. You can come for the beauty. You can come simply because you want to spend a few days somewhere extraordinary, surrounded by nature.
What matters to us is that every place has been chosen because we believe in it, and that Brazil is never reduced to a list of things to see. You are there to live it.
We have a very particular way of travelling. We believe Brazil deserves to be experienced with curiosity, comfort and a certain sense of adventure.
Sometimes that means a remarkable restaurant, a beautiful hotel, a private guide or a perfectly timed boat. Sometimes it means a small place that only someone who knows the region would think to recommend.
What matters to us is the quality of the experience, and the feeling that it belongs to the place.
In São Paulo, we are drawn to the city's extraordinary cultural life: its architecture, art, design, fashion, restaurants and the people who are shaping them.
In the Mata Atlântica, the landscape takes over. The forest, the sea, the islands and the mountains create a completely different kind of journey, one that invites you to move, explore and sometimes simply stop.
For us, luxury is not a style that has to be imposed on a destination. It is having the freedom to experience a place at its best, in the way that feels right to you.
Brazil is not a journey we can explain in a few paragraphs.
Perhaps you have come for São Paulo, for its art, architecture, design, fashion and extraordinary food. Or perhaps it is the Mata Atlântica that has caught your imagination.
This is an ancient world of forest and sea, extraordinarily rich in life. Thousands of species of plants grow here, from immense trees rising through the canopy to palms, ferns, orchids, bromeliads and vines.
The Atlantic is alive too. Depending on the season and where you are, you may see dolphins from the boat, sea turtles along the coast and, at certain times of year, whales passing through these waters.
You sail towards an island. You follow a trail beneath the trees. You swim beneath a waterfall. You dive into clear water. You walk through the forest and suddenly find the Atlantic spread out below you.
And after a day like that, there is the other side of the journey: a beautiful place in the forest, a long lunch, a swim, an afternoon in a hammock, the sounds of the jungle outside.
That combination is what makes the Mata Atlântica so extraordinary. It is wild, immensely beautiful and deeply alive, yet it can also be a place of extraordinary comfort and stillness.
